I lost my Tito on Nov 23,2009 his angel date. He had Cerebral Palsy and from the day I gave birth they told me to prepare for his departure from this earth. I refused to believe them and was blessed to have him as long as I did and it was still not long enough. His smile lit up a room. He was loved and admired by so many and I know I will never heal from his lost. He was a part of my life since I was 19 and I am almost 46 we were 20 years apart. I thought and took care of him everyday of my life and have no idea how I am suppossed to go on without him. I love you Tito and will forever miss being with you,laughing with you, sharing secrets with you, crying with you and dancing and singing with you. My son, Michael Burris, died June 4, 2009 after a 2 1/2 year battle with brain cancer (glioblastoma multiforme). He loved the Lord with all his heart and lived for him everyday. Everyone he met became his friend. He was 43 years old and mariied with a 3 year old son and a 14 year old daughter. I did pretty good at first but seem to be having a more difficult time now. The Lord carried me in His arms the last 3 years and now I feel that He has set me down gently and now it's time for me to go on my own. I lost a baby girl in 1970 that was only a day old. I have one girl left and I love her dearly. |

One week before he passed friends and family had a benefit with a balloon release, then on the day he was buried we released over 100 yellow balloons in the cemetary! My son, Jordan Lee Tucker, passed away in his sleep 11/15/2008 due an undiagnosed hearth arrthymia. He was everything to me, I still have trouble just believing he is gone. I miss him so much, I was so blessed to have a son like him, so kind and funny and loving. So many love and miss him. It has not been a year yet, I still look out the window, waiting for him to drive in, I still wake up in the morning insisting it is a night mare, I still look for him in soccer games, or in a car that passes by me that looks like his. I miss my son so much, I just want to see him again, I would give anything to hear his laugh, see his smile, hear another fishing story.... |

I lost my middle daughter, Deanna Lynn, to Ovarian Cancer 10/08/2007, 31 years young. She has one older sister Nicole, and one younger sister, Julie. They were very close, in age too. They were practically triplets and were always together. Deanna was the 'comedian' of the three. They miss her dearly. Deanna was and is the bravest person I have ever known. She faught for two and one half years and never gave up hope, in spite of what the doctors told her. She smiled and showed grace until her last moments. I saw her transform into an angel those last 3 weeks. She was a bride-to-be and was just beginning to 'live' her life and achieve all her earthly goals. I can see my angel in heaven making new heavenly goals. You told us that through a cabbage white on that terrible day we buried you. You made us smile on a day that was not possible. You continue to do that through butterflies, ladybugs, Hello Kittys and Coldplay...your favorite things. I feel you every day of my life and you looking out for me like you always did |

My only child, SABRINA,at the age of 18 took ill with Mono, end up in the hospital. I saw this angel suffer like you could not believe, but had so much faith that they would find out what was wrong with her. Well, they never did, she at one point could not talk anymore, but held onto hope, she gave me one last wave as I went down to the chapel. When I returned they stopped me at the door and told me that SABRINA'S Heart stopped. I said NO CAN'T BE I WAS PRAYING TO GOD TO HELP HER GET WELL. My cousin Marci DePaul and her husband Lee. Keyes, lost their 10 yr. old son Jacob Lee Keyes on Feb. 28 2008. I would like more information on the balloon release so I can share it with them. Marci is lost and is so devastated her healing and grief recovery is so slow. I dont know how to help her sometimes and I try so hard. I think they would love to be involved in something like this. They love to talk about Jacob and share his story. He struggled for many years with Hystiocytosis and Leukemia. |

Today is January 21, 2009. Hal Sigler, my beloved son, would be 23 today. He died April 8, 2008 after struggles with serious mental illness. He was very beloved by our community. We did a balloon launch today on the 18th hole as he was a talented golfer and know he has joined the angels who love the Tarheels, altho he is Virginia born and bred. We will be having a balloon release at our school tomorrow December 11, 2008 in memory of an amazing and inspirational teacher, Roxie Fine. Ms. Fine passed away on December 2, 2008 she had been a teacher at our district for over 15 years and had made a positive impact on our children. I had the pleasure of knowing Roxie for over 20 years we raised our children together they are both Sophomores at OGISD and their class is sponsoring the balloon release. I am sure it will help them with their grief. |

I lost myson Frankie Gough in a Car accident two years ago and it has been very hard for me,but I know that God has really carried me when I couldn't carry myself and I know that God will always be in my life. He was 19 years old and my little boy to me. We could always talk about anything and he was a very special friend to everyone. It's very hard and I trying to start a group in my chruch for people who have lost children. My 11 year old daughter was taken from us on April 12th 2008. She and some friends were digging a hold in the sand near our house and she had her head in the hold and one of her friends jumped over it and she was killed I love her and miss her sooo much i dont know what to do with myself. She was such a good girl and always was willing to help anyone that needed it. Brittany I will never get over you being taken from us so young and I think about you every day. I love you baby and want you to come back to us. I wish I could hear from you in a dream or something so I know you foung grandma, uncle Earl and you older brother that was killed in a car wreck 3 1/2 years before you died. It stinks we had to loose your brother and now you. Its just not fair we had to give up 2 children in such a shorr period of time. It has been a little over 2 monthw since you died and it seems like and eternity. Everyone says you are in a better place but I dont believe it. You should be here with us. Life can be taken in a blink of an eye as was my son's. A motorcycle accident changed our lives forever leaving shattered pieces amongst all he left behind. He was a beautiful soul of 23 who gave of himself unselfishly. Filled our hearts with laughter and hope that life's challenges would see brighter skies. To strive for the best in life.
