Hello, my name is Susan Roethel and I'm holding an event June 2 2013 in the afternoon. last event was in the evening and had a candle light vigil. for this event. I lost my daughter to an overdose 10 months ago and started my org to bring awareness. We have lost 450 people here on Long Island NY in 2012 and I feel very strongly about awareness, education and helping to stop the stigma.... anyway.... I'm holding this event and believe we will be having about 1000 or more people. Thank you. |

A memory service involving a person who has been cremated- A small amount of ashes are put in empty tea bags,attached to latex balloons for release at the service,or ,each person in attendance has the option of carrying the ashes home with them,to be released(same method) at the location of their choice. Or spread at a location that means a lot to the grieving party. Environmentally-latex is best; the tea bags are quickly decomposing ,the attachment method...? Please advise-what for the attachment process,and environmentally,what is being missed? Thank You |

I am so happy to find this website. My 9 month old son, Eli passed away on 10/7/10 from SIDS. We are trying to decide what to do for his first Angelversary. It was the most horrible day of my life, but we decided that we would like to remember our baby with our family and friends. We are planning a picnic at a park where we used to play with him. We bought him a picnic table with a plaque and hopefully it will be installed by then. We will also be having a balloon release. I can just picture my little boy in heaven and the smile on his face when he sees all those balloons coming to him! |

Recently lost my brother on August 26th, 2011. On September 6th was his birthday so we had a balloon release. On September 12th the following week 35 miles away from the release Carolyn Coy was standing in her yard and witnessed a mylar balloon fall from the sky. That balloon had attached to it my brothers name and a short message. So can you explain this? |

August is SMA (spinal Muscular Atrophy) month. On Saturday August 13, 2011 was SMA Angel day. Our son MIchael passed away from Type II SMA on September 13, 2010. To honor him our family had a balloon release. |

My 4 year old daughter Salem is planning a balloon release for Caylee Anthony called Salem's Big Project for Little Caylee. The balloon release is planned for August 9, 2011 at 6:30pm and we are asking everyone worldwide to participate. She wants red balloons released so it will be easy for Caylee to see up in Heaven. |

July 11, 2011 will mark the 3rd year anniversary of Juliette Geurts. Juliette was a happy, healthy two year old twin, when she was murdered in her own home. Still to this day, even though the three person were in the home at the time of her death failed lie detector tests, no one has been charged with her murder or anything lesser. On July 11, on behalf of the father's family, I will be releasing 100 balloons in her memory. 50 blue for child abuse and 50 white for the murder of innocence. Enough of our children die each year from accidents and health problems. We do not need to add more names to the list with child abuse. I am signing your guest book in memory of our son, Scott Edward Souders. Scott was born 06/21/75 and passed away from a fall from the back of his pickup on 01/23/94. He was a senior in High School. We were privilidged to receive his cap,gown and diploma at his graduation. They are all tucked away in my hope chest. We donated Scott's organs and I was greatful to be able to correspond with all of the recipients. In the 16 years since his death all but one of the recipients have passed away. None of them as a result of the transplant. The one gentleman still living is the heart recipient. We have met him and his family and correspond on a regular basis. He has lived to walk both of his daughters down the isle at their weddings. I feel that my son lives on in this dear and kind person. I still miss Scott so very much, even though time has moved on and I am now a great-grandmother. I love you Scott and know you are in a better place. Mom |
