I wish things could of been different. I miss my daughter so much. Even though we were inseparable I wish I would of been able to do more together with her and as a family. It hurts that I will not be able to see her graduate from High school, attend college, marry and have children. Twelve years today I lost my son José Francisco "Yoito" Barreto in a car accident. On May 19th 2004 my son Ryan and I were in my car traveling to the store for things for his birthday party when we were hit by a big rig. This was two days before his first birthday. He lost his life on the 20th of May 2004, we will be having a memorial service and balloon release on May 21st. 2005. That is why I found this site and think it is a wonderful idea. My heart and thoughts go out to any family or parent who has lost a child at any age. And to my son Ryan I love you and think of you every minute of everyday. |

First off i think that this site is the coolest thing! I have not lost a child, but i have lost family members and very close friends. So i know "most" of the feeling that all of you have! I lost my best friend about 1 1/2 ago. I loved him with all my heart and i miss him greatly. There is not a day that i dont wake-up thinking about him and there will never be a second in my life that i dont wish i could turn back time, so i could have been there. My daughter Stephanie passed away in July. Everything she had was decorated with butterflies. I had thought I would release butterflies but then I thought maybe butterfly balloons. Then I came across this site and I think it is so wonderful that so many people are honoring their children in this way. |
